If we talk about the biggest Surah (سورہ), then it is Surah Al-Baqarah (سورہ بقرہ), which has Two Hundred Eighty-Six (286) Verses. The smallest Surah is Al-Kawthar (Al-Kawsar – سورۃ الکوثر), which has three (3) verses in total.

The longest Surah of the Holy Quran is Surah Al-Baqarah, which has 286 verses. This Surah sheds light on the principles of faith, worship, life matters, and Islamic society. On the other hand, the shortest Surah of the Quran is Surah Al-Kawthar, which consists of only three verses but is very comprehensive in its meaning. In this Surah, Allah Almighty has given the good news of much good to His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Both of these Surahs teach us that every verse of the Quran, whether long or short, contains complete guidance and a great message.
